Due to the natural properties of this product, the colour of this mat may change a little over time. The mat initially has a strong rubber smell, this smell will fade over a short period of time. Store your mat rolled up. Do not leave exposed to direct sunlight or roll mat when still wet. Do not machine wash, submerge in water or use any soap or other chemicals to clean.

As this mat is made from natural rubber 99% latex free, this product is not suitable for anyone with a rubber allergy.

My mat has a strong scent. Is this normal?

The Everyday is made from natural rubber which has a scent, however this will fade over time. We recommend cleaning your mat often in those first few weeks by spraying it with Yogamatters Mat Cleaner and wiping down with a damp cloth. It will also help if you leave your mat unrolled in a well-ventilated space.
Is the top of this mat smooth, or is there a texture?

Is this mat suitable for sweaty hands?

Yes, the surface of the mat will absorb the moisture and provide great grip. If needed, you can also purchase a Yoga Mat Towel to help reduce excess sweat.
